Medals Success for QE’s CCF Students

QE’s Cadets (Combined Cadet Force) recently took part in the RFCA Tri Climb Competition at Simonside Climbing Centre in South Shields. Over 120 cadets from across the region took part. Students had to complete 7 graded climbs to qualify and the highest scoring students from the qualifying rounds went onto the semi-finals then to the finals. Sophie Hudson gained a bronze medal for the 17+ female category, Ella McArdle gained a bronze medal in the 15 to 16 female category and Teddy Trenchard, although he didn’t get placed, reached the final and ended the day with a perfect score card and missed out on the podium by mere seconds. Emma Hurry, QE’s Contingent Commander said ‘Congratulations to all QE students who took part, they all performed to a very high standard and we were delighted to bring back the medals to College!’
