Every year we mark Black History Month to celebrate and of Black individuals, both past and present, to society. This month serves as an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the achievements of Black communities, raise awareness about ongoing challenges, and promote a culture of equality and respect.
As part of this year’s celebrations, the college hosted a competition, with the theme of “Unity.” Moyin Akindunbi’s powerful poem, “Unity,” emerged as the winning entry, capturing the essence of solidarity and collective progress and highlighted the importance of embracing diversity and working together to create a more inclusive future for all. Moyin was presented with her prize by Meirion Baker, Assistant Principal.
