Darlington Rotary Club Choose Four Students For Young Citizens Award

Four students have recently been chosen as the recipients of an impressive award following their outstanding and generous actions. Zoe Hodgson, Arabella Simpson, Remy Lee and Megan Holmes made an exceptional contribution during the festive season as part of our Charity Community Christmas initiative, set up to help others during a time when many are in need. Due to this, the Darlington Rotary Club have awarded our students the Rotary Young Citizens Award!

The students encouraged others to write Christmas cards to the elderly residents of local Darlington care homes, donated food and offered their time to food banks, and created blessing bags for the homeless, which contained essential clothing and toiletries.

They also fundraised for women’s refuges, as well as donating much needed supplies and toiletries to hospitals, where healthcare workers and those who are in need received crucial supplies.

We are incredibly proud of them and their amazing work they have done over the past few months and are very deserving of the award given by the Darlington Rotary Club!
